Hello! I’m Leanne Shelton –

Founder/CEO of Write Time Marketing

I am:

My Background

Most copywriters admit the difficulty in writing their own About pages…but here goes!

A Sydney girl all my life, my career experience includes journalism, marketing, internal communications, events, and B2B sales in corporate, government, and not-for-profit roles.

With the written word being my number one passion, I started Write Time Marketing as a freelancer in 2014. Since then, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed producing business blogs, website copy, media releases, marketing brochures, and sales emails for my clients.

My background in marketing and sales has become a great asset to my strong writing abilities. It means providing a holistic approach to my clients’ content marketing strategy and branding. Thanks to a combination of my knowledge, skills, passion, and sense of humour, I now have many long-lasting relationships with these clients.

In 2018, I introduced two new elements to my business – DIY content marketing workshops in Sydney’s Hills District and professional speaking. 

I also launched the Hills District Business Empowerment Network (HDBEN) Meet Up.

Starting out as a generalist copywriter, in 2019 I decided to officially niche. (Eek!) I am now focused on the Health and Wellness industry for both copywriting and content coaching.  While my retired teaching father convinced us kids not to become teachers within the schooling system, it seems my desire for inspiring and educating others runs deep through my veins!

As of 2020, I am also the host of the ‘Marketing & Me Podcast’.

Outside the Office

My goal is to make every year different from the last.

I enjoy trying different styles of dancing, reading business and non-fiction novels, listening to inspiring podcasts, networking, and spending quality time with my husband, Justin, and two young daughters, Gabrielle (Gabi) and Indiana (Indi).

I love putting my hand up to volunteer where I can – resulting in my position as Secretary of the local primary school’s P&C (as a first-time Kindy mum…)

There are limited opportunities to learn about content marketing in the Sydney Hills District and surrounds. So my content marketing training sessions give you the chance to enhance your skills – without straying too far from your own backyard.

I can present 20 minute sessions to groups, run 2-hour workshops for teams, or host 4-hour Business Blogging Strategy Sessions.
